Hey guys, mostly checking in. I haven't left an update in a while, but some big enough things have happened recently so I thought it was time to drop the old journal and make a fresh one.
First off, I graduated from college. Yes, after FOUR YEARS, I finally hit that long-awaited milestone that's been keeping me busy all this time. *cue cheering and sparklers* Unfortunately, my school days are far from over. *cue sadness* I still have grad school which means a few more years of busy schedules, but from what I've seen of my Fall semester course load, it shouldn't be as agonizing as my undergrad (surprisingly). But we'll have to see in August whether that's the case...
Next, I've been hitting my portfolio pretty hard as of late in hopes of getting an internship by January (which is required for my Masters degree). While hurrying to complete it, I convinced myself to do a little more Dante's Disco Inferno related things to contribute, and frankly I've never been so excited to see it again. I can't, or rather, WON'T make promises that I'm going to produce anything super substantial anytime soon, but in the past week I've managed to redo a couple of character portraits which is kind of encouraging. At the very least, I'm looking forward to re-imagining old faces and hopefully drawing up new ones I haven't explored yet. Then, if time allows, I might start working on the script again and think of how this story might be the comic I always wanted it to be. Not just drawing it in the right style, but maybe actually getting it published for once. Fingers crossed.
Lastly, I updated my commission chart, as much for my sake as for yours. It just looked awful. So, you guys already know the drill: any requests, send me a note or an email and I'll get back with you.
That's pretty much it for now. Hope everyone is doing well in their respective parts of the world, and thanks again for reading.
